Why do some water-based prints look off?
Discharge inks are a type of water-based ink that work by removing the dye that the manufacturer used to color the shirt so that the color of the ink shows--even light colors on dark fabrics!
However, the fabric content and the dye lot can impact just how vibrant or pure the color of a discharge ink looks. Additionally, manufacturers will often re-dye a fabric or garment to convert stock, which can sometimes tint the colors
Our Inks team works hard to mix the inks to formulate the specific colors you want for your print, but we cannot control how the blanks are produced.
If the exact color is of utmost importance to your design, we recommend using Standard inks instead for your order.
