How does Print on Demand Pricing Work?

Base Pricing

Every POD-ready blank that we offer has a base cost, which includes the following:

  • The cost of the blank itself
  • The cost of one print location—typically a front print
  • If heading to a customer in the contiguous United States, the cost of shipping.

The base cost for each blank is listed in gray beneath the blank name.

Additional Options

There a few other scenarios that might impact your product cost:

  • Large sizing: larger blanks typically cost us more to procure, and take more time and material to print
    • 2XL: $2.00 extra per blank
    • 3XL: $3.00 extra per blank
    • 4XL: $4.00 extra per blank
    • 5XL: $5.00 extra per blank
  • Custom labels: we can add a custom label to your products for $3.00 extra per blank.
  • Additional print locations: we can add additional print locations for $6.00 extra per location, with up to four prints per blank. Each sleeve print is $5.00 extra.

Shipping

Shipping is included on all POD orders, with two exceptions:

  • International shipping: international orders (including Hawaii and Alaska) will incur an additional $9.95 flat fee per item within the order.
  • Fulfillment products: if an order also contains products that Clockwise fulfills for you, that order will be subject to standard shipping costs.

We strongly encourage you to pass shipping costs through to your customers. Obviously, you know your customers best, but in our experience, folks typically don't think twice at paying a few extra dollars in shipping costs.

Example #1

A customer purchases an extra large shirt printed on a Next Level 6010. The shirt has one print location, and is being shipped to Oregon.

Total Cost to You: $20.79


  • $20.79 for the base cost of the 6010
  • The first print location is included
  • Continental US shipping is included
Example #2

A customer purchases two medium shirts printed on Next Level 3600s. The shirts have two print location, and are being shipped to New York. 

Total Cost to You: $48.70

  • $36.70, or $18.35/ea, for the base cost of the 3600s
  • $6/ea for the second print location
  • US shipping is included
Example #3

A customer purchases 1 3XL hoodie printed on an Independent IND4000. The hoodie has one print location, a custom label, and is being shipped to London. 

Total Cost to You: $54.94


  • $41.99 for the base cost of the hoodie
  • $3 extra for the 3XL size
  • The first print location is included
  • $3 extra for the custom size label
  • $9.95 per item for international shipping.
